Penny Jones, one of Bermagui's most revered artists has turned her brush to the Australian vernacular of gum leaves. Known as the 'Margaret Olley' of the area, her vibrant and striking watercolours focus on flowers and birds. This time she has produced a body of work painted directly onto gum leaves.
Justina Legoe expresses things of nature with ink and gouache on paper. Precise detail and distortion take the viewer on a visual adventure. Hung together for the first time, 'Hybrid' is a play on this contemporary art movement.
